Bar & Restaurant

Established in 1849 as a Bar and drapery store, Ashes has remained in the same family since then. When Ryan's Daughter was filmed here in 1968/69, Kate Ashe fed the crew lunch daily and drinks nightly !

Remaining a  Bar only until 2000, Ashes saw many a film star grace its doors, most notably Gregory Peck, who visited many times and is also a distant cousin of the Ashes.

We now run Ashes primarily as a Restaurant making use of the amazing local produce on our doorstep. Head chef Paul Has been with us for over 13 years, and his team work hard at producing consistently high quality, innovative dishes. We specialise in Local Seafood, But always offer an Irish Beef option and a Vegan option. We have our very own Dingle Founding Fathers Whiskey, Matured in a Sherry Cask. We have a full bar, extensive selection of wines by the glass & Cocktails. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment.
